It was a chilly Saturday morning in Piedmont California.
Mabel Pines had finished getting out of the shower and changed into her pink oversized maroon sweater with a large heart and some pink harem pants.
Today was a special day for it was Valentine's day. The day of love and romance.
Mabel was hoping to relax this weekend after the after lots of late night studying from college and work.
Dipper was home for the weekend from Stanford and Pacifica had come down with him to spend the weekend in Piedmont.
Mabel was excited as she had knitted matching Valentine's sweaters for the couple; but one thing that weighed on her mind was she herself hadn't managed to find a date for that night.
She was hoping that she would of found one, but things hadn't worked out and it seemed that she was going to spend Valentine's Day alone.
She went downstairs to see Dipper and Pacifica on the couch watching tv.
She ran to join them.
"Morning guys!" She chirped.
"Morning Mabel..." Dipper sighed.
"So what are you guys doing for Valentine's Day?"
"Nothing really special... We're going to that fancy restaurant downtown and then maybe dancing." Dipper said.
"But you don't like dancing very much Dippindot."
"I know but, Pacifica wanted to go."
"Aren't you so precious, bro bro..." Mabel giggled, hugging her younger twin.
"Do you have a date for tonight, Mabel?" Pacifica asked.
The smile on Mabel's face faltered a little.
"Actually I don't... I... Well... Nobody asked me."
"Come on... Mabel..." Pacifica said, shocked. "Who wouldn't want to go on a date with you?"
"I don't know... Maybe I destined to spend Valentine's Day alone... Again..."
"Then what are you going to then?" Dipper asked, softly.
"I'm just going to sit at home, eat a bunch of chocolate and watch sappy romance movies on Netflix..." She sighed.
"Well do you want to have dinner with us?" Pacifica asked.
Mabel shook her head sadly.
"Nah... You two have fun..."
The young woman stopped talking as she joined her twin and his girlfriend on the couch to watch some tv.
A few hours later, Mabel was sitting at the kitchen counter Mabel was starting to eat a large box of chocolate as she thought about her evening.
What she would give to out for Valentine's day. To go to a fancy restaurant with dancing. She wished she could have a man to sweep her off of her feet. She wanted her night to be special.
Mabel was about to eat some more chocolate when she heard her mother call her name.
"Mabel! There's a letter for you!"
The young woman jumped from the counter to greet her mother.
"A letter for me!?" She gasped. "Whose it from?"
Her mother looked at the envelope.
"I don't know... It doesn't have a return address or anything. Just your name..."
Mabel took the letter to see nothing but her name written in a fancy cursive.
She cautiously opened the letter to see a piece of paper folded up.
she unfolded it to read the message:
My dearest Mabeline...
Ever since I laid eyes on your delicate form I have been enchanted.
Tonight is Valentine's Day is I would for you to spend it with me.
Please meet me at this this address that is enclosed at the bottom of the letter at eight thirty.
I also have sent you some money for you to buy a beautiful outfit to wear.
I will be waiting.
Your secret admire.
Mabel looked at the note for a few moments before she quickly grabbed her coat and started to the door.
"Where are you going?" Her mother asked.
"TO THE MALL!" She cheered happily.
About an hour later Mabel was browsing around in one of the most expensive stores at the mall browsing through the fancy evening clothes.
Her secret suitor have given several thousands of dollars to spend and she wanted to find the most elegant outfit she could.
She wanted to impress her admirer; but what would he be like?
He had to be rich by all the money he gave her. He had to be tall, handsome and quite witty. She also hoped he liked to have a lot of fun. She blushed as she imagine what he would be like.
The bigger question was however; what would she wear for this date.
Normally she would one of her party sweaters or one of her outrageous puffy party dresses; but it seemed tonight was not the night for stuff like this. Tonight was a night for elegance and simplicity. Not for childish antics. She would find the perfect outfit that would make her look like a proper lady.
She wandered towards the formal section and started browsing through the clothes.
They had little dresses for cocktail parties in many different styles and colors. Then she saw long beautiful gowns that swept the floor.
Mabel thought all the dresses were beautiful and started to decide what she wanted to get.
After debating for a few minutes she decided she was going to get a gown.
Since it was Valentines day. She would a get a red one; so she started browsing through all of the red gowns until eyes rested on the one she wanted. It was long dark red form fitting gown. with slender sleeves and a neckline that seemed to fall down to midchest. and two silts on both sides from the mid thigh.
Mabel delicately pulled the dress and went into the dressing room to try it on.
It was perfect.
The dress hugged her body in just the right places and the sleeves hung just below her shoulders giving it a lovely but slightly daring look.
Mabel knew then this was the dress she wanted.
She carefully took it off and went to pay for it. This would be the perfect dress to where with her mystery man.
Once the dress was paid for, she ran home to get ready for her Valentine's day evening.
Later that evening was timidly walking towards the entrance to the restaurant all dressed and made up for the evening.
Mabel had loosely pinned her back slightly and put make up on. Finding a red lipstick and nail polish that matched her dress.
Checking to see if she looked good one more time, she went towards the host.
"Hi... I'm hear to meet someone..." She said, quietly.
"Oh yes follow me." He smiled.
Mabel followed the host till they came to a plush booth and he set menus on the table for her.
"Would you like a glass of wine?" He asked.
"Yes please..." Mabel giggled.
The host nodded before he walked away.
The young woman looked around as she waited for her stranger to arrive. Soon she would see who was enamored by her.
"Mabel...?" A confused voice asked.
Mabel turned to see Dipper and Pacifica sitting a small table looking at their menus.
"What are you guys doing here?" Mabel asked.
"Having our date...?" Dipper said, skeptically. "What are you doing here?"
"I also have a date tonight." Mabel explained.
"With who?" Pacifica asked.
"I don't know..." She said. "It's a secret admirer."
"Well would you like us to sit with you while you wait?" Pacifica asked.
Mabel nodded, feeling better she wouldn't be alone in case her date didn't show up.
The three sat together for about twenty minutes as they waited for Mabel's date to show up. The three were starting to wonder if he was going to show up when the host returning with someone behind him.
"Your date has arrived, madam." He smiled then walking away.
The three stared up at the new man.
He was very tall. With golden blonde hair tossed loosely to the right with his bangs covering his right eye. His features were sharp and clear of imperfections. But what really stood out about him was his outfit.
He wore a flashy red suit with a crisp white shirt. Along with a long red dress coat with the cuffs and collar parts lined with what appeared to be fur.
He flashed the three a wide grin.
"Sorry I'm late... But I have a habit of being fashionably late!" He chuckled.
Even in human form the three recognized who it was immediately.
"Bill... What are you doing here...? AND WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING?!" Dipper demanded.
"Clothes..." He grinned.
"Are you Mabel's secret admirer?!" The male twin demanded. "Because there is no way in hell I would let you get anywhere near my sister."
Bill chuckled as he slithered next to Mabel, wrapping his arms around her.
The young woman blushed widely while Pacifica and Dipper just stared in shock.
"So are you two joining us then?" Bill asked, grinning widely.
"Do you honestly think I'm going to leave her alone with you?!" Dipper growled.
Bill then focused his attention back on Mabel.
"You look so lovely, Shooting Star." He purred.
"Thanks..." She whispered.
"Don't mention it!"
Throughout dinner, Dipper did not take his eyes off Bill. Believing if he took his off for even a second, the demon would steal his sister away; but surprisingly, the demon had been quite the gentleman. Saying sweet and almost cheesy comments and never let Mabel pour her own wine. This was quite weird. The demon had to be up to something.
Once the two couples were finished with their dinner, Pacifica spoke up.
"Are we going to go dancing?" She asked.
Bill perked.
"OH! That sounds like fun! Shooting Star and I will come with you!"
"Um..." Dipper was about to protest.
"It will give us on opportunity to keep an eye on Bill..." Pacifica whispered.
Dipper wanted to say no but only nodded in defeat as they all waltzed into the ballroom.
Dipper started to dance with Pacifica. For awhile the young man focused his attention on his girlfriend, but the mere thought of his arch nemesis with his sister left him feeling very vulnerable. Yet he knew that if he kept staring at Bill, Pacifica was going to get pissed as hell, and claim his paranoia was going to ruin the evening.
So the young man had to play everything cool, and react the moment the demon tried to hurt his sister.
"Dipper! Are you there?!" Pacifica huffed, starting to get angry.
Dipper snapped out of it for a moment, nodding his head.
He had to keep it together, he needed to act normal.
He was about to resume when he felt someone tapping his shoulder.
He turned to a man.
"Do you have a twin sister?" He asked.
"Yeah... Why...?"
"Well your twin and her partner are taking over the dance floor..."
"What do you... WHAT IN THE HELL?!" He screamed, his eyes focused at the center of the floor.
The younger Pines twin just watched with shock and some horror as he saw his sister and Bill tangoing on the dance floor. The tango the was normal type of dance a couple would do when dancing; but this... This seemed a lot different to what was consider normal.
They were moving at a much faster pace; and the demon twirled her fiercely before reversing direction. This would have been scary enough if weren't for the fact that Mabel didn't seem distressed at all. She seemed very into it, gripping tightly to Bill's hand, and keeping herself steady when she was twirled. Her brown hair flowed freely as she moved and she appeared light on her feet. Allowing Bill to guide her as they danced. Almost seeming to get lost in his gaze. Letting the music keep the flow of her movements.
Mabel breathed heavily as she continued moving. She had no idea that she could move in this fashion. She was always quite energetic, but she didn't know at this consistency.
The two continued as Dipper watched. Why wasn't his sister resisting? Why did she seem to be having fun? The demon had to have under some sort of spell.
Dipper was about to step in, when several people stopped him.
"Don't even..." They hissed. "They look like they are about to perform the great finale."
Dipper groaned loudly at the people's obliviousness, but no paid him no mind.
Eyes turned back to Mabel and Bill and the two parted as Bill waited in the center as the Mabel twirled away from before stopping suddenly. She paused for a few moments until she ran back towards him and jumped into his arms. Where the music ended with the demon dipping her back.
The other dancers erupted into great applause as they watched red dressed couple. The two of them were panting heavily as Bill pulled her back into his arms. Mabel gripped his shirt, feeling so much adrenaline. Dipper who had watched the whole was furious and speechless as to what just happened. Even about to give the demon a piece of his mind when he felt water being thrown at him.
He turned to see a fuming Pacifica.
"So basically you barely pay attention to me at dinner and then you ignore me right in the middle of the dance?!" She hissed.
"Bill..." Dipper could only muster.
"Bill's been nothing but a perfect gentleman. Perhaps you should learn a thing or two from him!"
"Bill..." Dipper could only say again.
"You know what... I'm out of here! Thanks for ruining my Valentine's day Dipper!" Pacifica growled.
She turned to the other couple.
"Bye guys enjoy the rest of your night..." She smiled before shooting Dipper another venomous scowl and storming off.
"PACIFICA WAIT!" He started to run to the door before turning back to Bill.
"I'll get you next time Bill!" He snarled, running after Pacifica.
Bill waved.
"Bye Pine Tree... Have trying to get on Llama's go side again." He giggled.
He turned back towards Mabel.
"Did you wanna keep dancing?" He purred.
Mabel looked back to where to Dipper ran off before she smiled a little.
"Actually I would like to keep dancing..."
"Thatta girl..."
It seemed like hours as Bill and Mabel continued dancing. Even as the floor slowly began to clear until they were the very last ones left. Not evening noticing until wait seemed like the manager approached them.
"Hate to bother you guys, but it's closing time..."
Bill sighed as he grabbed Mabel's hand and they walked out of the building.
"So is the night over?" Mabel asked. "Because I'm ready for bed..."
Bill looked into her eyes, not wanting her to leave him.
"Can I come home with you?" He asked, giving her an innocent puppy look.
"I... well I'm not sure..."
The demon pulled her close.
"Why run away from it when you can embrace it...?" He purred.
Mabel sighed as she stared at the demon. Like it or not, it did not seem he was going anywhere.
"Well... Just promise that you'll try to behave..."
"Don't worry... I'll be as gentle as a lamb..."
Mabel smiled a little.
"Then come on... Let's go home..."
Mabel allowed Bill to drape his arm over her shoulder as they walked.
She wanted to believe that Bill had learned his lesson and really wanted to change; but deep down she knew...
It was a bloody Valentine's day...
The End?
